PhD defence on quality of dietary intake of a school food programme

The National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark invites to Marianne Sabinsky’s PhD defence on, how establishment of a school food programme affects the quality of dietary intake at lunch among children. The defence takes place 22 November 2013 at 12.00.

In 2007, the Danish Minister of Food announced a project where Danish schools could apply for funds to establish a school food programme to provide free school meals for two months during 2008.

In her PhD, Marianne Sabinsky from the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark has investigated, how dietary effect of a school food programme in Danish schools on the quality of lunch consumed by children aged 7-13 years compared to packed lunches brought from home.
