The Electronics Group were well represented at the SPIE EAPAD 2014 in San Diego in March!
SPIE EAPAD 2014 Smart Structures/NDE is a multidisciplinary conference devoted to: energy harvesting, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), damage detection, structural health monitoring (SHM), dielectric elastomers, actuators, shape memory alloys, and polymers, electro active polymers (EAP), bio-inspired, and robotic systems, smart materials, sensors, systems, and networks.
The conference not only provides one-on-one interactions with scientists, engineers, and researchers from academia, military, and industry but also provides an excellent opportunity to explore new research areas by teaming with new partners from many fields while enjoying a full suite of plenary presentations and special events.
The EAP-in-Action Demo Session highlights some of the latest capability and applications of EAP materials and provides inspiration for the attendees.
The three PhD students from the Electronics Group (ELE) actively participated in this event, and they presented our latest and more remarkable achievements summarized in 3 papers.
