Sustainable Innovation Office
Sustainability is often assumed to be an inherent feature of biobased processes, but ill-designed processes or products can be as unsustainable and polluting as any other process.
We have established a Sustainable Innovation Office, a multi-disciplinary unit that continually assesses the extent to which the Centre’s research and innovations output contribute to improving state-of-the-art research and production and suggests strategies for maximizing economic and environmental performance.
The office has two specific missions:
1. Drive, guide, and develop technologies and tools to quantify sustainability criteria and advise the Centre's management and scientific group leaders.
2. Inspire, educate, foster, and support innovation at the Centre, DTU, and partners in the Danish bioeconomy.
