Co-financed Collaboration
Key Terms: Both Company and DTU Biosustain are financing the project – flexible on the parties respective financial contribution to project including payment of salary plus OH’s on DTU Biosustain scientists
IP regulated according to intellectual contribution
Company has a right of first refusal or exclusive option to an exclusive or non-exclusive license to generated IP within the defined Field of the project
Commissioned Research
Key Terms: All results/foreground IP owned by the Company
High DTU Biosustain scientist OH costs (180% OH on salary) + payment of consumables + access fee to services + success fee
Industrial PostDoc model
Key Terms: PostDoc employed by DTU Biosustain/DTU
Company pays salary for PostDoc plus OH costs (50%)
IP regulated according to intellectual contribution
Company has exclusive option to an exclusive or non-exclusive license to the DTU Biosustain/DTU part of the generated IP within the defined Field of project
Total budget is approx. 160.000 Euro/year (but dependent on the specific project) covering PostDoc salary including OH and operating expenses
Licensing
Standard industry licensing model including upfront fee, milestone and royalty payments.
