Section for CHO Cell Line Engineering & Design

The CHO Cell Line Engineering and Design Section is addressing the need to rapidly obtain high yields and high quality of biopharmaceuticals produced in optimized CHO cells through genome-scale-based methodologies.

Our main goal is to develop state-of-the-art genome editing technologies, omics data generation and high-throughput screening methods to improve CHO cell engineering efforts and facilitate identification of factors, that control growth, protein production and processing.

Our main goals are to:

• Identify cellular factors, that enhance growth, productivity and protein quality through application of high-throughput screening technologies and systems biology data.

• Develop efficient and precise genome engineering tools to accelerate generation of CHO cell factories with improved clonal stability.

• Optimize engineering strategies for improved CHO cell factory design.

The section is located at the DTU Biosustain premises at DTU Lyngby and headed by professor Gyun Min Lee.
