31 October 2012 the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, and the University of Copenhagen hosted a seminar on One Health in a developing country perspective. The seminar focused on results from DANIDA-funded projects which, using the interdisciplinary and cross-sectional One Health approach, had added value.
At the National Food Institute and University of Copenhagen’s seminar on One Health in a developing country perspective researchers presented the results of DANIDA-funded research projects that have shown an added effect on the improvement of humans’ and animals’ environment and health by using the interdisciplinary and cross-sectional One Health approach.
The seminar was opened by State Secretary Ib Petersen from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Four keynote speakers from, e.g., the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO, presented the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to using One Health in a development context, and five selected research projects provided the ground for the afternoon's panel discussion.
