Director elected fellow of AGU

Eigil Friis-Christensen, the director of the National Space Institute at the Technical University of Denmark, has been elected a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union.

The motivation for awarding the fellowship is "his pathbreaking cross-disciplinary scientific research and multi-national leadership in initiating new space-based research missions." Only one in each thousand members is elected to Fellowship each year. This years fellows' certificates and awards will be presented at the Honors Ceremony on 26 May at the Joint Assembly in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
