iLoop Core Unit

The iLoop (Iterative Cell Factory Development Loop) Core section at DTU Biosustain is a translational research unit focused on microbial cell factory engineering.

The goal of the iLoop is to take academic research projects and accelerate them to reach early commercial-level cell factory performance in a short time frame.

We achieve this by employing a range of cutting edge technologies including automated genome engineering and screening, advanced analytics, next-generation sequencing, and data integration using genome-scale models. These technologies are utilized by dedicated professional staff to advance several cell factory development projects simultaneously.

The iLoop is supported by world-class technology development activities at all DTU Biosustain sections in areas such as genome engineering and modeling.
