Business development

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) at the Technical University of Denmark is the world’s first interdisciplinary research center within biosustainability and development of cell factories.

DTU Biosustain’s ambition is to develop new knowledge and technology that can support the transformation from a petrochemical industry to a more sustainable biobased industry, in which chemicals are produced biotechnologically using microbial production hosts ie cell factories.

DTU Biosustain also investigates how to develop robust cell factories for the efficient production of biopharmaceuticals and anti-microbials. DTU Biosustain has ongoing research/development activities primarily in CHO, E. Coli, Streptomyces and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
