The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is seeking two outstanding young scientists to establish and manage their own research group within the scientific footprint of the Center. The positions are targeting ambitious candidates who wish to become future leaders in their respective scientific fields within a relatively short time and who have the required personal and academic skills.
The research groups will be an integrated part of the international intellectual environment provided by the Center with a unique opportunity to collaborate with and/or be mentored by its Scientific Directors who provide the scientific leadership of the Center. The Group Leaders will report directly to the Chief Scientific Officer of the Center, Jens B. Nielsen.
DTU Biosustain will provide funds, excellent research facilities and access to world-class infrastructures to support that the groups achieve their goals. The Center expect the group leaders to raise additional funding from external sources (EU, public funding agencies, industrial collaborations), but will allocate two significant start-packages -including two positions and running cost - to each of the research groups to kick-start the group operations.
